Injoy Giving backs Karma Kitchen concept, with pay it forward meals

Gifting website encourages customers to pay for the next diner’s meal, while they enjoy a meal paid for in advance.

Injoy Giving, the newly launched online gifting site, is celebrating the act of paying it forward, by backing Karma Kitchen, a volunteer-driven experiment in generosity.

Hosted by Injoy Hero, Neha Phukan, Karma Kitchen invites customers to enjoy a meal that has already been paid for by the previous customer. Guests are then presented with an AED 0 bill, and they make the choice of whether to pay towards the next customers meal, or not.

The Karma Kitchen plates up its first event in the end of September 2015 at Ajanta Restaurant in Karama, which serves Gujarati vegetarian meals. On arrival, diners will be briefed on the concept, and Kitchen Karma volunteers will take and serve the orders. On finishing their meal, guests are invited to leave an inspiring message for the next guest to enjoy.

Injoy Giving is the brainchild of Martin and Natasha Rockstrom, who are inspiring generosity through gifting. Natasha said of the initiative: “It’s great to see more acts of kindness in the community, and the city’s ability to create experiences where others can experience and practice generosity, even if it’s to complete strangers. We’re extremely happy to support Neha with Karma Kitchen.”

Upcoming events include collaborations with The Goodwill Tribe – Letters of Love and The Love Team. For more information about Injoy Giving, Injoy Heroes and Karma Kitchen, visit injoygiving.com.

About Injoy Giving:

Born out of a dream to change the world, Injoy Giving is a social enterprise that exists to inspire generosity to awaken happiness. Injoy Giving encourages people to practice generosity in their everyday lives, through small and random acts of kindness to large and intentional acts of giving.

Injoy Giving is all about celebrating human connection and inspiring people to make a difference. As a result, The Dubai based gifting website has created a gifting experience where every gift you send contributes to a humanitarian cause. Even gifting a cup of coffee is enough to provide a nutritious school meal to a child for a day.

Conceptualised in 2014 and later launched in June 2015, Injoy Giving is a plug and play solution for its gift partners to activate social commerce, build brand ambassadors and deliver innovative digital campaigns that use generosity as a growth strategy to build business.

Injoy Giving is supported by the International Humanitarian City (IHC) and approved by the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department of the Government of Dubai (IACAD).
