Tell us about your journey and your career trajectory.

My career has been a dynamic mix of strategy, creativity, and taking bold risks. I launched my first businesses at 16, earned an MSc in International Business and Management, and built experience across multiple industries before finding my way to procurement.

Moving from the UK to Dubai was about stepping out of my comfort zone and discovering my full potential. Strong women, particularly my grandmother, shaped my drive for excellence and empowerment.

In my role at CIPS, I try to bring fresh energy to procurement. Whether leading high-profile events or driving strategic initiatives, my focus has always been on creating opportunities, sparking conversations, and pushing boundaries.

We would love to know what you consider some of the biggest challenges and milestones along the way.

Through record-breaking events, including attracting 2,500+ attendees in Saudi Arabia, I’ve demonstrated the critical role procurement plays in business transformation. Diversity and inclusion are personal priorities. I’ve championed gender balance across events, launched the Women in Procurement initiative in the region, and introduced monthly gatherings in Dubai to create a supportive network. I also delivered the first-ever Women in Procurement panel in Saudi Arabia and addressed Gen Z professionals at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, encouraging them to explore careers in procurement.

What defines an enabling environment?

A strong support network is key. I’m grateful for five mentors from different backgrounds who offer invaluable insights. Their perspectives, along with the wisdom of my family, have helped shape my leadership and decision-making and empowered me to navigate challenges, take risks, and grow both personally and professionally.

What in your opinion is impact and how do you envision the road ahead

For me, impact is about driving meaningful change. A mentor once told me my passion is rare, and I’ve taken that advice to heart. I want to use that energy to reach new heights, drive transformation, and, most importantly, uplift others the way my mentors have done for me.

What is your message to women?

Embrace who you are and stay connected to your roots. Take inspiration from Khadijah (RA), a leader and entrepreneur who stayed true to her values while achieving greatness.

Your heritage is not a limitation—it’s a foundation. Stay grounded, lead with purpose, and know that authenticity is your greatest strength.
