BizWorld UAE received the Best Social Enterprise Award during the Ta’atheer Social Impact Awards ceremony which was held in Dubai recently. BizWorld UAE received the award for its impact as a social enterprise in implementing programs aimed at developing entrepreneurships education and financial literacy across the Middle East.
In addition, BizWorld UAE was recognized for its innovative entrepreneurship education programs for children with the goal of building their capacities and preparing them for the future job market.
The awards ceremony, held during Ta’atheer’s 14th annual conference under the title, ‘Giving with Purpose’, aims to celebrate and reward organizations from various sectors by highlighting examples of best practice and successful implementation.
CEO of BizWorld UAE, Helen Al Uzaizi, commented on receiving the award, “We are proud to receive the Best Social Enterprise award during our first year of operation, reaffirming our efforts to make the greatest impact by making entrepreneurship a key part of the region’s education curriculum.”
Al Uzaizi concluded, “We believe that educating children about entrepreneurship, from how to establish and manage a business to dealing with the psychological challenges of being an entrepreneur will better prepare children for the future, no matter what career path they choose.”
It is also worth highlighting that as part of the growing social enterprise sector, Al Uzaizi has joined a working group of private and public-sector experts to develop a legal framework for social enterprises in UAE. The group aims to create a supportive and structured environment for social enterprises to thrive and expand, a truly forward-thinking approach to further develop the local entrepreneurship ecosystem.
