July 13th, 2021, Lahore (Pakistan): Acclaimed community Connected Women Pakistan (CWP) announced the launch of its signature venture ‘Connected Women Pakistan Entrepreneurship Challenge (CWPEC) 2021’ on July 5th, 2021. The application form is now live and being shared in different communities and platforms with the applications being closed on 25th July.

The ‘CWPEC 2021’ is the second entrepreneurship challenge of the CWPEC series that commenced in July, 2020. Through this venture, CWP aims to facilitate women-owned businesses to enhance their business, develop it better, practice improved financial management, and grow it further under the guidance of industry experts, and national as well as international mentors.

Last year, the challenge received over 50 applications with 25 businesses selected to move forward of which Top 16 advanced to the second round, and of those Top 7 progressed to the Grand Finale. Ayesha Nasir, Founder of Scaryammi was the winner of the challenge followed by Saira Adeel, Founder of Happy Moms as the First Runner Up, and Amina Nasar, Founder of Bake King Queen as the Second Runner Up. The winner received cash prize of PKR 50,000 with runners up receiving In-Kind prizes worth PKR 100,000.

The Grand Finale was judged by successful women entrepreneurs from Pakistan and foreign countries including Jehan Ara, Sadaffe Abid and Myra Qureshi from Pakistan, Gine Romero from Philippines and Collins Rex from Australia. The challenge facilitated the contestants in better scrutinizing, understand and building their business to offer increased value to their target audience, and achieve exponential growth in their field.

This time around as well, the CWPEC 2021 by CWP aims to do just that to create an even bigger impact. The application process has already begun, online and offline communities have started showing great enthusiasm, and the team is all geared to make the event an even bigger hit than before. Different workshops centered on the areas of financial management, business development, digital marketing and business pitching will be held throughout this tenure with participants progressing through different rounds. The challenge will end on 14th August, 2021 with winners announced the same night, and a celebratory gala organized for them shortly after.
