Celebrating Emirati Women’s Day

August 27th, 2018, Sharjah (UAE): HE Abdulla Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), stated that the UAE’s approach to empowering women in various fields is the ideal standard that helps women achieve their goals and reflects the cultural level that the UAE has achieved under the vision of the wise leadership.

On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, Al Owais expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; and to Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates; for their continued efforts, since the establishment of the Union of the Emirates by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to enhance the role of women in the community and maintain their vital place in developing the country.

Al Owais stressed the keenness of the SCCI to continue its efforts to empower women and to help them achieve social and professional stability, whether at the institutional level under the umbrella of the chamber, or by supporting business women in Sharjah, the UAE and the region, in accordance to the vision of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, who believe that the contribution of women in developing the community is vital for preparing promising future generations.

 

Iman Rashid Saif: Emirati women are fortunate and worthy of appreciation

HE Iman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, stressed that Emirati women have been fortunate to have been led by the wise leadership, who recognized the worth and capabilities of women and worked tirelessly since the inception of the UAE to elevate their status in society, as well as safeguard their rights and their dignity.

On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, Saif stated that the UAE has been keen to honour and empower women in all aspects of their personal and professional lives, and that the country has expended unlimited efforts in asserting their rights and emphasizing their essential role in building the community. She remarked that women have been a vital partner to their male counterparts in reaching the cultural achievements that the UAE has attained and have contributed to increasing the country’s status in various fields.

Saif added that Emirati women deserve to be celebrated for their success in proving their excellence in various fields at the national and global level, and stressed the keenness of the Health Promotion Department to actively participate in achieving the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Emirati Women in the UAE for the years 2015-2021, which comes within the framework of the vision and the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.

Saif stressed that the future looks promising for Emirati women and holds further achievements, especially in light of the keenness of both the UAE leadership and Emirati women to maintain the strides that have been achieved for women, and the mutual pursuit to continue building the capabilities of women and ensuring their participation in preparing the next generation and enhancing the country’s global status in various fields.

Al Mazrouei: The UAE has provided women with all elements of support and opportunities

On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, HE Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, stated that the UAE has provided women with all elements of support and opportunities that has enabled them to attain remarkable achievements and expand their participation in the development of the UAE.

Al Mazrouei said: “The Constitution of the UAE, the UAE vision 2021, the local government strategies, and the Emirati Citizen’s Code of Values and Conduct have all focused on empowering women, developing their capabilities, and continuing  to build on the achievements that they have attained since the formation of the Union, following the path set by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.”

Al Mazrouei added: “The men and women of the UAE are proud of the approach of the wise leadership, which is headed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, to empower and support women so that they assume the highest official and economic positions and responsibilities. Sharjah’s community and the institutions of Sharjah are both keen to follow this approach to ensure the happiness of the emirate’s women, in accordance with the vision and the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi; Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.”

Al Mazrouei stressed that both the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority and the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority are keen to apply the best practices and support all efforts to empower Emirati women in Sharjah, by providing all possible opportunities and by launching unique initiatives that elevate their status and enhances their participation in all fields.

AlMannaei: The UAE has spared no efforts since its inception in empowering and building the abilities of women

On the occasion of Emirati Women’s day, HE Abdulla M. AlMannaei, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction, stressed that the UAE has spared no efforts since its inception in empowering and building the abilities of women, as well as aiding them in overcoming difficulties in order to participate in all areas of life.

AlMannaei stated that Emirati women have been a pioneering partner in the development of the UAE, and that the footprint of Emirati Women can be found in all the successes and achievements of the UAE for decades now. He added that Emirati women occupy some of the highest positions in the country, both at the public and private sectors, and have proved to be vital in raising the global status of this country in various fields.

AlMannaei expressed his thanks and gratitude to the UAE leadership, which is headed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; and to Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, for their unlimited support to women in the aim of preserving their dignity, and unlocking the capabilities and talents, especially in raising the next generation of ambitious and educated youth.
