March 4th, 2020, Dubai (UAE): To mark the celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD), female-founded startup QiDZ, the go-to mobile application for family activities in the UAE, Bahrain and KSA, launches an initiative dedicated to women who want to disrupt the status quo with their own startup idea.

QiDZ will host a series of events to share their experience of starting a company and growing it, with a core objective to help startups with their own endeavors. The open forum will provide support to women entrepreneurs in different parts of their startup journey.

QIDZ Celebrate IWD by Lifting Aspiring Entrepreneurs Simona Agolini, QiDZ CEO and Co-founder, said: “As five female co-founders we want to share our accumulated business knowledge through interactive sessions, giving small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs a chance to openly ask questions and receive our practical advice. It excites us to share our experiences and guide aspirants, like we once were, so they can benefit from our own learnings and journey. We’ve been approached multiple times for business advice and we thought this was a great opportunity to share our knowledge and experience with others through these sessions.”

March is Women’s History Month when the world pays tribute to the contributions and issues that women face globally.  It coincides with IWD which was established to commemorate a movement for women’s rights. This year, IWD has decided on a campaign theme ‘An equal world is an enabled world.’ #EachforEqual

QiDZ is a strong believer in collaboration and positive reinforcements to challenge stereotypes. “We actively choose to rally behind this concept by sharing best practices in order to grow a community of empowered women. In business, a diverse team performs substantially better.  Solving the gender gap issue is a shared responsibility which requires joint efforts between men and women.”

A one-stop destination for kids-related fun, education and entertainment, QiDZ was created in 2017. In November 2019, the company raised US$ 1 million in seed funding to further enhance its product offering and expand its footprint into other GCC markets. QiDZ can be downloaded for free from App Store and Google Playstore.  For more information, please visit the official website on https://qidz.com or follow QiDZ on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
