October 20th, 2020. Dubai (UAE): The youth is an unstoppable force leading positive social change globally. Making up half of this population, girls are amazing agents of change within their communities and beyond. Observing #DayOfTheGirl in the month of October, Ananke is organizing a digital event  The Girl Summit on October 29th, 2020 with the theme #RealizingAnInclusiveFuture.

The summit focuses on topics including #Education #GenderEquality #Sustainability #Innovation & #EmergingTech #ModernEconomy and will showcase three main live segments including Fireside Chat, Panel Discussions, and Workshops as well as a recorded Keynote sessions. This is first-ever Digital Summit with female empowerment at its center across the MENA region and the sub-continent.

Ananke’s Girl Summit features a stellar array of speakers, panelists and workshop facilitators from all over the world. “It is such an honor for Ananke to showcase female trailblazers at the Summit. The event is a must-attend for women and girls of all ages because they get to listen, watch and even network with brilliant women in almost every profession and belonging to every sphere of society. They will learn the importance, role and impact of women and girls, why it is critical to leave no one behind and most importantly the fundamental need of diversity,” says Ananke’s Executive Editor and Founder, Sabin Muzaffar.

Our youngest volunteer is aged 13 and she will also be moderating a session. We believe in inclusion, regardless of age, ethnicity, race, religion etc. and that’s why we have been so successful. Harnessing the immense potential of #girls by enabling them through capacity building activities, the Girl Summit aims to create value through female leadership development and inclusive dialogue.

Talking about the event, one of Ananke’s volunteers, Simrah Akbar, based in Saudi Arabia, remarked: “This event comprises thought-provoking panel discussions, captivating fireside chats, intriguing keynote speeches and exciting workshop sessions, which focus on and encourage the female youth to engage in areas such as education, sustainability, gender equality and innovation etc. By attending this event, young women have much to gain as they would attain insightful knowledge from successful women in various fields who bring their vast amount of wisdom and experience to offer to the new generation of aspiring women.
